NOTE: This installation instruction covers both V5 harness and RES harness installation.

The differences are highlighted in the procedure as follows:-

1. Vehicle Disassembly.

(a) Remove the negative battery cable. (Fig. 1-1)

(b) Take note of the battery cable installation position, as this will need to be re-installed in the same position after installation completion.

(1) Do not touch the positive terminal with any tool removing the cable.

(c) Remove the driver's step cover. (Fig. 1-2) (1) Protect the fender before starting.

(d) Remove the driver's cowl cover. (Fig. 1-3) (1) Remove one nut securing the cowl cover.
