Removal Installation

DRIVE SHAFT Removal (Front)

1. Place matchmarks on the differential and drive shaft flanges.

2. Remove the 4 nuts, washers and bolts, and disconnect the drive shaft from the differential.

3. Suspend the front side of the drive shaft.

4. Place matchmarks on the transfer and drive shaft flanges.

5. Remove the 4 nuts and washers.

6. Remove the drive shaft from the transfer case.

Installation (Front)

1. Align the matchmarks on the drive shaft flanges and differential, and connect the flanges with 4 bolts, washers and nuts. Torque the bolts. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .

2. Align the matchmarks on the drive shaft flanges and transfer, and connect the flanges with 4 washers and nuts. Torque the nuts. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .

Removal (Rear)

1. Place matchmarks on the transfer and drive shaft flanges.

2. Remove the 4 nuts and washers, and disconnect the drive shaft from the transfer.

3. Suspend the front side of the drive shaft.

4. Place matchmarks on the differential and drive shaft flanges.

5. Remove the 4 nuts, washers and bolts.

6. Remove the drive shaft from the differential.

7. Remove the dust cover.

Installation (Rear)

1. Install the dust cover.

2. Align the matchmarks on the drive shaft flanges and differential, and connect the flanges with 4 bolts, washers and nuts. Torque the bolts. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .

3. Align the matchmarks on the drive shaft flanges and transfer, and connect the flanges with 4 washers and nuts. Torque the nuts. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
