NG: Replace compressor. OK: Go to next step.

3. Check harness and connector between compressor lock sensor and ECM (See HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING ).

NG: Repair or replace harness or connector.

OK: Go to next step.

4. Check harness and connector between ECM and integration control and panel (See HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING ).

NG: Repair or replace harness or connector.

OK: Go to next step. 5. Check voltage between terminals ACLD of ECM and body ground.

PREPARATION:

Remove ECM with connectors still connected. CHECK:

a. Turn ignition switch to ON.

c. Measure voltage between terminals ACLD of ECM and body ground.

Voltage: Below 1.0 V

NG: Check and replace ECM.

OK: Check and replace integration control and panel. DTC 23: PRESSURE SWITCH CIRCUIT CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION

The pressure switch sends the appropriate signals to the integration control and panel when the A/C refrigerant pressure drops too low or rises too high. When the integration control and panel receives these signals, it outputs signals via the integration control and panel to switch OFF the compressor relay and turns the magnetic clutch OFF.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

1. Check voltage between terminal PSW and GND of integration control and panel. PREPARATION:

a. Install the manifold gauge set.

b. Remove the center cluster integration panel with connectors still connected. CHECK:

a. Turn ignition switch to ON.

b. Check voltage between terminals PRE and GND of integration control and panel connector when A/C refrigerant pressure is changed.

OK: Proceed to next circuit inspection shown on problem symptoms table (See page DM 087). However, if DTC 23 is displayed, check and replace integration control and panel.

2. Check pressure switch. PREPARATION:

Disconnect pressure switch connector. CHECK:

a. Turn ignition switch ON.

b. Check continuity between terminals 1 and 2 of pressure switch when A/C refrigerant pressure is changed.
