Check Passenger Airbag On Off Indicator

a. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.

b. Check the passenger airbag ON/OFF indicator operation.

HINT:

Refer to the normal condition of the passenger airbag ON/OFF indicator (See DTC B1000/31 CENTER AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY MALFUNCTION ).

RESULT:

A: During period "A" in the illustration, even if both the "ON" and "OFF" passenger airbag ON/OFF indicators normally come on, both of them do not go off during period "B". During periods "A" and "B" in the illustration, even if both the "ON" and "OFF" passenger airbag ON/OFF indicators normally come on, both of them come on during period "C".

B: During period "A", neither the "ON" nor "OFF" passenger airbag ON/OFF indicators come on, or either of them does not come on. During period "C", even if the front passenger seat is occupied, neither the "ON" nor "OFF" passenger airbag ON/OFF indicators come on.

2. CHECK INTEGRATION CONTROL AND PANEL (PASSENGER AIRBAG ON/OFF INDICATOR)

a. Turn the ignition switch to the LOCK position.

b. Disconnect the negative (-) terminal cable from the battery, and wait for at least 90 seconds c. Disconnect the connectors from the center airbag sensor assembly.

d. Connect the negative (-) terminal cable to the battery, and wait for at least 2 seconds.

f. Check the passenger airbag ON/OFF indicator operation.
