2. CHECK BOOSTER PEDAL FORCE SWITCH

a. When using the oscilloscope:

1. Connect the oscilloscope between terminals PSNO(1) and STS(5), PSNC(2) and STS(5) of the brake booster with connector being connected.

2. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.

3. Check the signal waveform while the brake pedal is depressed and released. OK: Signal waveform changes in according with the illustration below.

b. When not using the oscilloscope:

1. Disconnect the connector from the brake booster.

2. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.

3. Check continuity between the terminals while depressing and releasing the brake pedal. OK

TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION

3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BOOSTER PEDAL FORCE SWITCH - SKID CONTROL ECU)

NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR OK: REPLACE SKID CONTROL ECU ABS WARNING LIGHT REMAINS ON DESCRIPTION

If the ECU detects trouble, it turns on the ABS warning light and prohibits ABS control. At this time, the ECU records a DTC in memory.

Connect terminals TC and CG of the DLC3 to make the ABS warning light blink and indicate the DTC. WIRING DIAGRAM
