INSPECT HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR (HEATER RESISTANCE)

INSPECT EFI RELAY

(a) Disconnect the H3 HO2 sensor connector.

(b) Measure the resistance between the terminals of the HO2 sensor connector.

Standard Resistance

Tester Connections

Specified Conditions

HT1B (H3-1) - +B (H3-2)

11 to 16 Q at 20°C (68°F)

HT1B (H3-1) - E2 (H3-4)

10 kQ or higher

(c) Reconnect the HO2 sensor connector.

REPLACE HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR

INSPECT EFI RELAY

(a) Remove the EFI relay from the engine room R/B.

(b) Check the EFI relay resistance. Standard Resistance

Tester Connections

Specified Conditions

3 - S

10 kQ or higher

3 - S

Below 1 Q (when battery voltage applied to terminals 1 and 2)

(c) Reinstall the EFI relay.
